“I’m not voting because I don’t like either presidential candidate”. Have you ever heard anyone say that before? Unfortunately the reality is that too many Americans feel like their vote doesn’t count or it’s just too much of a hassle to wait in a long line not realizing that whether they vote or not, one of those candidates will be making decisions and creating laws that will almost certainly affect every aspect of their life. Not only that, when ColorBlind Enterprises (CBE) considers the sacrifices that so many have made for women and people of color to have the right to vote, it seems unconscionable that someone would not exercise that right. Though CBE endorses Barack Obama, we strongly encourage everyone to vote no matter the party affiliation.

CBE is not here to place blame or continue to dwell on past wrongs as those actions only detract from the energy and resources that could be used to advance our cause of creating awareness leading to acceptance. So if you are one of those who are contemplating not voting in this most important 2012 election we would sincerely urge you to reconsider. Thus if you choose not to vote, the next time you feel the need to complain about any policy of the 45th POTUS remember you had an opportunity to do something about it but chose not to.

Vote, because we’re all in this together.

Good insight Jeff. That’s what this blog is all about in that we want to provoke thought and positive action. Great questions and we’d love to hear from other bloggers as to the answers to these questions and to keep the discussion going. Only then can REAL change occur.
